The WAFFEN Research Laboratory, a registered company was founded by a team of experienced professionals in the field of Microbiology, Food Science & Technology, Food Safety & Hygiene, Agriculture sciences, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and Chemistry, whose mission is to do innovative research, provide analytical services, develop skill manpower & create awareness in the field of Water, Agriculture, Food, Feed, and Environmental sciences.
The WAFFEN Research Laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and most sophisticated equipment’s like protein analyzer, temperature controlled centrifuge machine, incubators, water bath & shakers, Bio-safety cabinet-II level, Inoculation chambers, UV spectrophotometer, Stomacher, homogenizers, Binocular and compound microscopes, pH meters and colorimeter apart from routine equipment to conduct microbiological and biochemical analysis as per ISO standard methods. All the equipment and materials used in WAFFEN Research Laboratory is calibrated regularly to meet the ISO, EU & FDA compliance.

WAFFEN Research Laboratory routinely check in our quality and ethics program through electronic audit trails in LIMs (Laboratory Information Management System) and has extensive procedures in place to prevent and detect ethics violations. Compliance with data integrity rules supersedes all other requirements and is the cornerstone of our reputation. Thus, all employees must review WAFFEN Ethics and Quality Assurance policies and sign an Employee Ethics Statement as evidence of their commitment to abide by the Ethics Policy. In signing the ethics statement, employees are making a commitment to the company, clients, co-workers and themselves that they will not engage in unethical behavior. They are also making a commitment that they will report any instances of unethical behavior observed. We provide a hotline and a confidential web based system that allows employees confidentially and anonymously reports any ethics or quality related issues.
The WAFFEN Research Laboratory committed to conduct all work in a manner, which is safe to the employee, the community and the environment. We ensure our commitment to operating a safe and environmentally sound business through the supervision of a designated Biosafety and Biosecurity Coordinator (BBC), who is responsible for ensuring the health and safety, operating policies and practices, are safe to all levels of the operating personnel.

Inorganic and organic chemical analysis of agriculture, food, feed, water and environmental samples. Physico-chemical analyses of water quality, wastewater, and solid waste programs.
Microbiological quality of food and feed, food borne pathogens, water microbiology, waterborne pathogens, soil borne microorganisms, plant pathogens & beneficial microorganisms, environmental microbiology, marine microbiology and to support a variety of other microbiological programs.

We are engaged in skill manpower development for the country through hands on training & education. We provide hands on training on food safety and hygiene; to various classes of citizens of Bangladesh (See the table below). We periodically hosts these training program related topics of interest to program personnel one/two times in a months. Prior registration is necessary and 12 persons /batch can be accommodated only. We do awareness program through practical class on testing adulteration of 50 different food stuffs. Adulteration test kits will also be supplied to the trainee. We also do personnel hygiene awareness program through practical class to any customers and hygiene test kits will be supplied to each trainee for their personal check.

| 1 | At first contact WAFFEN Laboratory personnel according to your sample category (Agriculture, Food, Feed, water & environment). Then tell the details of the samples and what testing is required etc. The WAFFEN personnel will suggest you what to do or how to collect the sample. Or alternatively select your samples and kept in sterile containers in cool places |
| 2 | Contact our Laboratory personnel or front desk regarding test parameters & costs. If you agree then you need to pay the fees at the UCB bank ( nearby) |
| 3 | Submit the pay slip to the counter and get the date of report delivery (Procedure completed) |
| 4 | Come on the delivery date and take your analysis results |
| 5 | We advise our client to learn sample collection system and holding, which is important to get accurate results. Or contact WAFFEN to collect the sample from your factory (A service charge should be added to the test fee) |
For any Chemical and biochemical test |

The WAFFEN provides materials (except sampling equipment), such as sterile container, preservation chemicals, coolers, thermometers, pH paper, etc as needed to collect samples in the field. This package is named as “sample collection tool Kits”. You can buy single use “sample collection tools kits” from WAFFEN front desk at the rate of 500 BDT/kit, and rental cool box can be borrowed at the expense of 500 BDT/day.
